Andrée Harris - Founder 

Andrée has over 15 years of experience with at risk youth and children with special needs. She has obtained   a wealth of knowledge as result of her involvement. She is a mother of children with special needs. Andrée  has a degree in Acquisitions and Contract Management Her early ventures in 1997 (Youth Vision Inc & MS Youth Services ) has opened her heart and mind with the willingness to expand the horizon for children. Andrée's love and compassion for children has afforded her the abililty to serve as an advocate. She is currently pursuing a degree in Human Services and is  always busying herself with finding ways to bring joy to the lives of children and youth regardless of the need. Jenay Jordan - Volunteer On call - Outreach Programs Assistant

Jenay brings to the Just 4 Us Foundation a degree in Human Services and Psychology. She puts majority of her time and focus on cultivating relationships with organizations and families while bridging the gap with communities. Her activities could range from organizing fund raisers, sending a Just 4 Us volunteer to a like minded organization to assist with activities to finding locations to host an event or support group. Jenay has provided assistance to various non profit organizations by way of internship, volunteering and as a paid employee. Her desire is to see children,youth and families served by the Just 4 Us Foundation happy and satisfied with receiving quality service.

Danielle Torres - Volunteer On-Call  Program Assistant

Danielle has a degree in Interdiciplinary Studies-Teacher Preparation. She is pursuing a degree in Special Education. Danielle has worked with children and youth for over five years. She eventually plans to go into research for children with Autism. Her eagerness to learn along with her willingness to listen makes her a great advocate for children with special needs and at risk youth. Danielle is responsible for researching, developing and coordinating appropriate programs for the Just 4 Us Foundation. 

 

Bridgette Washington - Volunteer-Part Time Secretary* 

Bridgette has served in the Fairfax County public school system for over 10 years as National Education Association (NEA) Virginia Education Association (VEA) and Fairfax Education Association (FEA). She has served as the PTA president and a youth mentor for over 20 years. She is also the founder of several youth organizations. Bridgette has worked with the founder in other capacities and upon inception of the Just 4 Us Foundation, volunteered her services. Email Bridgette @ b.washington@justforusfoundation.org

Dr. Roshonda D. Contee-Davis  - Volunteer Program Services

Dr. Roshonda D. Contee-Davis is a licensed specialist in Substance Abuse treatment with over 18 years of experience. A significant number of those years were spent in the Johns Hopkins Health System as an Addictions therapist, targeting the adult population. Her credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology, a Master of Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, a Doctor of Psychology degree in Addictions, and is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor with the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors. Dr. Contee-Davis was, also, the co-founder of Epiphany Consulting, Inc., a mental health consulting firm and the founder of Bridging Together Foundation, LLC, a psychiatric rehabilitation program.   Dr. Contee-Davis has, also, had contract s with including, but not limited to, Department of Juvenile Services and Baltimore City Head Start. Porsha Stewart Volunteer Program Manager of STAR program 

Porsha is a recent graduate of Coppin State University with a degree in Management Science and Criminal Justice. She has been in the field of finance for the last six years. She began as the Real Estate Advisor to the Foundation and Andree saw her passion to help At-Risk youth better themselves. Porsha believes the at-risk youth can overcome the stigma "you can't do this because of your circumstances". Her heart is in developing the STAR (striving to achieve results) program. Romy  Solomon * - Volunteer Marketing Specialist 

Romy is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a degree in Government and Politics with a focus on International Development and Conflict Management. She brings to the team her experience fundraising for organizations like Save the Children, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), as well as her marketing and outreach skills she has developed through internships, volunteer work, and student director positions. Romy is a certified Violence Intervention Assistant and has been trained in Sexual Assault Response and Prevention for victims. While Romy's responsibilities focus on capacity building, she takes great joy in interacting with the youth and families Just 4 Us serves. Vinique Henderson - Administrative Assistant 

 

Vinique provides clerical support to Just 4 Us Foundation, STAR program and My Father and My Mother and Me program. Vinique joined Just 4 Us foundation as a volunteer in 2009. Email Vinique @ v.henderson@justforusfoundation.org

 

  

Marquita Dorsey - Volunteer Office/Marketing Assistant 

Marquita is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Management at Bowie State University. Her love for children, and providing happy atmospheres for families brought her to the Just 4 Us Foundation. Her experience includes organization, research and development, and data processing.  Nyasha Harley - Events co-ordinator

Nyasha has worked with disabled children, teens, and adults since 1999 as a Head Day Camp Counselor. She has Coordinated daily activities for the campers at Camp Fairlee Manor & has worked with the elderly and disabled individuals for over 10 yrs. Nyasha had a brother with special needs. She has always been passionate about the disadvantaged, underprivileged, and those in need of support, assistance and care. Her goals are to give disabled community the ability to be actively engaged in the community and to provide at risk youth the opportunities to experience positive and engaging activities. She believes that active engagement and positive experience will motivate and stimulate youth to positively pursue and chase positive dreams, visions, and goals. Marsha Woodland-Administrative-Policy Assistant 

Marsha brings strong analytical and administrtive assistance to the organization.  She is a 3rd year criminal justice student at the University of Maryland and has a wealth of experience in the criminolgy field.  Although she is the founder of the Building Bridges Foundation, she gives portions of her time to the Just 4 Us Foundation and it's causes. Pamela Wells - Volunteer Grant Writer/Researcher 

Pamela Wells brings in 14 years of experience leading non-profits, corporate and foundation grant initiatives. She is a AFP member and has undergone several trainings in grant writing and proposal development. Anagha Kohojkar - HR and Web Development Assistant 

Anagha has done her Bachelors in Engineering and Masters in Business Administration. She brings to the team her experience in Information Technology domain that she gained while working with several leading multinationals. Shawnee Lining - Volunteer Event Coorninator

 Sanchia Holder - Volunteer Translator

Sanchia received Bachelor of Arts degrees in French, Spanish, and Global Studies in May 2010. Her prior work experience in the nonprofit industry was as a Volunteer and Campus Engagement Intern at United Way Worldwide in Alexandria, VA. She is passionate about serving those in need in the  community, having volunteered with DC Central Kitchen and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles to provide food to the hungry and homeless. Jira Churchill-  Grant Researcher/ Technical Writer and Event Planning Team

Jira uses her skill in seeking and securing resources for program and mission support to advance the vision for the Just for Us Foundation.  She joined the J4uF team and began to allow her creativity, teachng experience and love for the mission to go to another level.  Jira holds a Masters Degree and is excited to be a part of our team.  Upon joiing us on the technical writing side, Jiras love for planning evolved and she now assists with the event planning team. Be on the lookout for what Jira is doing next at J4UF.

 

Lauren Thomas- Volunteer Event Planning Team

Laurn has mental health professional skills with a degree in Psychology with expereince in the mental health field.  She joined our team with a desire to continue to make a difference in the lives of children, youth and familiesJ4UF with a desire to make a difference in the life of the families that we serve.  Lauren research venues, seek sponsorships as well as set up media interviews. 

 

The Just 4 Us Foundation has over 15 administrative volunteers and over 50 event volunteers. We are always looking for people with a passion for people to join our team, whether you can volunteer 4 hours a month or 4 hours a day, We Need You.
